Welcome to Duetcatz, a small Persian
cattery located in the heart of the
Nature Coast on the Gulf of Mexico, in Florida, USA. Duetcatz came
into being
in 2000, and since that time I have been showing the "rainbow" of
Persian
cats. Prior to that I bred under the name of Belle Fleur. Over time I
realized
that my true love was the smoke and shaded Persian. My first love was
and
always will be redheads followed by blondes. Over time I have acquired
several
smoke and shaded cats. Combining my love of blondes and redheads and
my
love of the smoke was a natural fit. I now breed cream smokes and
cameo/red
smokes with an occasional blue cream or tortie for variety. I still
have a few
solid girls and therefore will also have an occasional solid, tabby or
parti
color kitten to show or sell.
Cats are my first love, and they are joined in our family by two
Japanese
Chin girls (dogs) who aren't so sure that they shouldn't be cats too.
My
husband Bob is not only my best friend and the love of my life, but he
is on most
days, chief cook and bottle washer (sounds better than pooper scooper)
while
I attend to the face washing and grooming.
We have a lovely air conditioned/heated, fully equipped cattery. Yes,
we
have some cages; however, only new cats in isolation or new moms are
ever
caged. Our boys get along just fine and have their own space to roam
in. When we
have kittens they are kissed, cuddled and loved. Our kittens know they
are
here to be adored and have sweet loving personalities.
All our cats are PKD DNA tested and all are negative.
All our kittens
leave
with a microchip and certificates regarding either their PKD status or
the
status of the parents. Kittens will be fully inoculated and tested to
screen
for health problems before leaving us to go to their new homes.
